Overview

Our general tour! Meet our Dock Rep at your cruise ship dock and board our courtesy shuttle. Enjoy a scenic ride to the Auke Bay boat harbor and return (about 25 minutes each way). A complimentary stop at the Brotherhood Bridge for a view of the Mendenhall Glacier is available before or after each tour depending on that day's schedule and weather. Enjoy the difference of a personalized tour! About 4 hours and 15 minutes. This 4 hour and 15 minute tour includes approximately 1 hour of round trip transfer time, 3 hours of whale watching/sightseeing cruise, walking on the dock to the boat, and bathroom breaks.

We booked with these guys on the recommendation of a friend. Much better than booking through the cruise lines. Due to weather we ended up in Skagway when we should have been in Juneau. While the rest of the boat queued for hours to reschedule for the following day, Harv and Marv rescheduled us via a couple of text messages. They even coordinated with another trip company we had booked with on the same day. Anise the guide was first class and good grief - whales galore! Way better experience than the bigger boats booked through the cruise lines A++++++

Our party of 4 adults did the whale watching excursion with Harv & Marv's. We were on a boat with just two other people, and had a great female captain. She was knowledgeable, friendly and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and having a great time. We saw some seals, a bald eagle or two and several whales. She was great at predicting where they would come up next and seemed to put the boat in the perfect stop to see them when they surfaced again. While we didn't see any full breaching, we did see lots of spouts and tails. It was a great experience.

This was fun! Of course they can't guarantee you'll see whales, but they know where and how to look and we weren't disappointed. Captain and guide were friendly and knowledgeable, pickup from dock was easy, boat was easy to ride in and well cared or.
