My husband and I went on an Alaskan cruise and participated in a whale watch and salmon bake. Captain Jay and Meghan were fantastic. We saw 10 whales that afternoon and learned a lot of information regarding the ecosystem and whales. The salmon bake was wonderful and the buffet and the grilled salmon were wonderful. I highly recommend this expedition. I will never forget the moment we saw the first whale.

Captain Tom and naturalist deckhand Megan were wonderful! It was a gorgeous, sunny day, and we were the first boat out, searching for whales. Seeing a whale in the wild is something I've always wanted to do, and my first sight of this glorious gentle giant brought me to tears. It was incredible! As the morning went on, we saw 10 whales, thanks to the expertise of Tom and Megan. Megan gave commentary and direction and our outing was a success. In the bay was a bouy with a bald eagle sitting on top, and a Stellar's sealion AND PUP on the bottom level! It's as if they were posing for us!! Incredible morning in this beautiful, island-studded, mountain rimmed (with glacier!) bay. The salmon bake that followed was great. It's an outside venue (covered, in case of rain), great food, and a singer/guitarist to boot. Here in the Tongass Rain Forest, it's a lovely setting. My life is complete...I've seen whales in the wild. I can die happy. Thank you Megan and Tom!!

Did we luck out or is it normal? Captain Tom and first mate Sara told me not to promise too much to readers, but they did a magnificent job in June 2018 to show us sites. Highly recommend for clean boat, big clean sliding windows and restroom on board.
