We were back to back on a cruise ship and keen to do something other than the Everglades yet again whilst in Fort Lauderdale across the middle of the dayā¦.what to do???ā¦to also ensure we got safely back on board in time. Answer - a shipās tour on āFort Lauderdale - Land and Seaā. After a good coach and walking tour of some highlights of the old town, we boarded the Jungle Queen paddle boat for a 90 minute tour of the waterways framing the homes of the rich and famous.
The company and staff are well organised, even to the point of easy and effective rain protective windows for the vessel ā¦.which we needed for a while but this was such a slick operation it did not spoil our fun. A cash bar is available if you need it, together with snack food. Clean toilets are on board and local discounted parking is available. However, the time passes quickly as the vessel navigates the canals and waterways of the town and Port Everglades as you listen to informative and pleasant commentary. For those with more time to spend, the company does other longer tours, including dinner cruises.
The shipās seating was reasonable, the commentary excellent and the overall experience was one of value for money. Well done guys!
