What a fun excursion away from the beach! We boarded the boat about 30 minutes before departure, but we still waited in line as the āexperiencedā visitors knew to be first for the best seats, second level in the very front. Our seats were starboard next to the rail, and they were fine. I purchased cocktails for the ride, and they were worth the money. Super nice bartender, too, and as we chatted, she let me know that our guide for the day was her favorite. He didnāt disappoint! I could tell immediately that he has been on the job for a while and if not native to Fort Lauderdale, heās made it his home. As we traveled the canal/river, he offered history and tidbits about the homes and yachts that make we saw. I would recommend the cruise for adults and older teenagers, but young children would be bored.
