What To Expect

Huleia National Wildlife Refuge

The captain will narrate this scenic 2 1/2 mile trip up the Hulei'a River. You will be able to see and learn the famous Menehune Fish Pond, Famous movie sights, A glimpse of the National Wildlife Refuge, and Rice family ranch. Fish, birds and native plants remain up river.

Kalapaki Beach

We spend some time in Kalapaki bay. Often this is where we will end up for sunset. History of one of Kauai's first hotel, as well as the construction of Nawiliwili Harbor, and Ninini Point Lighthouse.

You get your moneys worth. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and was eager to share his knowledge. Lots of seating and staff was very helpful. Snacks were so-so. I thought they were serving horsdoevres but it was cookies, dried mango and chips. They tasted good but I expected something different. The drinks were good but limited types. I would definitely go again and recommend.

Highly recommend this tour! Stevie and Becca were great! If you enjoy learning some history while enjoying a cocktail, this is a cruise you will enjoy.

Stevie, the captain, was friendly and very knowledgeable about the river area, plants, and animals. There were beverages. Sage was the deck hand/bartender. Very friendly as well. This is a quiet gentle cruise—very good for someone who might get a little nauseous. The sunset this particular day was very pretty. Would recommend.
