Guides are required to wear masks at the shop and rental stand but as soon as tours and lessons begin it is extremely easy to maintain a safe distance and the use of masks will only happen if requested by the client.

Had a great experience renting a kayak from Cal Coast Adventures and rentals last Sunday 11/29/2020. I like to rent from these guys as they are the only beach launch in Santa Barbara main. The rest are from docks. Anyway, the online reservation is easy and aides in helping with "touchless transaction" during this COVID time. I regret that I have forgotten the name of the young man on the phone (great customer service) but I do remember Andre's name, the young fella from the beach setup. Friendly, helpful and again, great customer service. Kayaks and sups are in great shape. The high back seats for the kayaks even seem quite new. Not your average used and abused rental equipment. They take care of their stuff. Highly recommend.
