Overview

This grand kayaking adventure will take you to the most remote areas of Assateague Island. Most days we encounter the wild Chincoteague ponies grazing along the marshlands, but always remember these are wild animals and some times you see them and some times you don't. We know all the best locations to view the ponies so we do get to see them 75% of the time. We will also get the chance for some great photo opportunities of the Assateague Lighthouse, one of the oldest running lighthouses in the country. We might even get to see a few of the unique and rare birds migrating through Assateague Island.

Chincoteague Island is loaded with wildlife. It is nature at its best.

Assateague Island

Assateague Island is the home of the Wild Chincoteague Ponies and dozens of species of birds, the best place for sightseeing.

Assateague Lighthouse

The Assateague Lighthouse was built in the late 1860's and is still in operation today.

Our guide was amazing. My husband turned over the kayak two times. It was such an experience. She managed to get him safely to the starting point.

What an awesome trip. No better way to see the ponies. Our guide was wonderful. She was so helpful and full of stories. She got us so close to the ponies and spotted dolphins. We paddled on a double kayak which was really comfortable and stable. Appreciated that the guide even switched us to an earlier slot a few days before because she wanted us to have a good experience with the tides and temp. Knows her stuff and takes you on a great trip! A must do in Chincoteague.

Excellent tour of Assateague! Our guide was lovely and very knowledgeable. We saw lots of ponies and learned fun facts about them and the island. It was good exercise, too!
