Kayak Tour Of The Honey Island Swamp and Backwaters
Kayak Tour Of The Honey Island Swamp and Backwaters
Overview
Enjoying nature and the natural beauty are great reasons to go kayaking on the outskirts of New Orleans. We paddle through the Honey Island Swamp and circle through large cypress trees with one of the trees being on the National Registry. The waters are calm and ideal for both beginners and moderate paddlers alike. Very little experience is necessary to paddle these picturesque waterways. We keep our tours small so we can cater to the interest of our guests. You will see an array of wildlife as you make way enjoying the beauty and peacefulness only nature can avail.

It was wonderful way to see some of the local waterway and appreciate a different aspect of the New Orleans area. Very accommodating, knowledgeable, friendly. Such a treat to have a private tour for just 2 of us. Thank you!

Thank you for your kind words. Kokomo Kayaks goal is as they say in NOLA "Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler!" (let the good times roll!) and leave you with lots of good memories. Hope to see ya'll again one day.

Great experience! I can say that I kayaked in the swamps of Louisiana now! The girls were amazing guides and so sweet and accommodating to us. They gave lots of fun info about the area and showed us the nature around which was beautiful. Unfortunately we saw no gators since they are in hibernation but the whole thing was very serene and peaceful (:
