Fairweather Kayaks is based in one of the most beautiful areas in southeast Alaska. A little town called Hoonah, Alaska. Not only do you feel like its home when you get here. The people here make it feel like home. It's a hard place to leave after you visit.

Fairweather Kayaks main goal is to show you an experience that when your outing is done. Not only will you walk away happy and relaxed from being out on the water. Our goal is to show you such a good time you'll be thinking about your next visit before you even leave.

Fairweather Kayaks takes you into calm waters where the kayaking experience isnt too difficult and theres always a chance to see wildlife.

What To Expect

Hoonah

We'll leave the town of Hoonah and we'll travel by an old logging camp. After that we'll get out at a place us locals call Long Island.

The Fairweather Kayak team is amazing. We are complete kayak novices and they were super patient and nice to us. Cody is an excellent guide. We were really well taken care of. Loved seeing eagles, jumping salmon, and crabs! Great experience!

Great guides, and a nice 2+ hour kayak trip through the bays. We saw deer, salmon and eagles, and wonderful scenery. Kayaks and equipment was very good (skirts, life jackets, paddles). Take sunglasses even if it’s cloudy, the sun may poke out.

Amazing experience!! Luke and Jess were outstanding. Very knowledgeable and fun. They made you feel comfortable and were there to help you and answer any questions. I would highly recommend, you will not be disappointed!!
