Fairweather Kayaks is based in one of the most beautiful areas in southeast Alaska. A little town called Hoonah, Alaska. Not only do you feel like its home when you get here. The people here make it feel like home. It's a hard place to leave after you visit.

Fairweather Kayaks main goal is to show you an experience that when your outing is done. Not only will you walk away happy and relaxed from being out on the water. Our goal is to show you such a good time you'll be thinking about your next visit before you even leave.

Fairweather Kayaks takes you into calm waters where the kayaking experience isnt too difficult and theres always a chance to see wildlife.

We'll provide life jackets, paddles, kayaks, and spray skirts. As well as light rain ponchos if its a rainy day

What To Expect

Hoonah

We'll leave the town of Hoonah and we'll travel by an old logging camp. After that we'll get out at a place us locals call Long Island.

Our friends had done this kayak tour before and recommended we all do it when we made the trip to Alaska together. It was a really great tour! The water was calm and it is a great activity for those who have very little kayaking experience. The nature was amazing and our tour guides were knowledgable and really had a passion for what they do.

Our family of 12 had a great time kayaking. We saw a mama bear and her cub and porpoises swam around us 🥰 but the beauty of Hoonah was the best. Thanks so much to Cody and Terri for the great trip and to Cody's family as well for their kindness!
