Fairweather Kayaks is based in one of the most beautiful areas in southeast Alaska. A little town called Hoonah, Alaska. Not only do you feel like its home when you get here. The people here make it feel like home. It's a hard place to leave after you visit.

Fairweather Kayaks main goal is to show you an experience that when your outing is done. Not only will you walk away happy and relaxed from being out on the water. Our goal is to show you such a good time you'll be thinking about your next visit before you even leave.

Fairweather Kayaks takes you into calm waters where the kayaking experience isnt too difficult and theres always a chance to see wildlife.

What To Expect

Hoonah

We'll leave the town of Hoonah and we'll travel by an old logging camp. After that we'll get out at a place us locals call Long Island.

It's always a little nerve wracking to book an adventure when you have no clue what the quality will be, but we scored with this one!! I went outside of the cruise excursion to see if we could find something better. For the same price we booked a three hour trip instead of an hour! we saw eagles ands a bear and went way out into the coves. Cody was fabulous!! he was always concerned about our safety and enjoyment! It was a very flexible tour based off of what everyone wanted. He was patient and attentive and really wanted to make sure we have a great experience...and WE DID!!!I wouldn't even hesitate to book this again. Cody will own the island some day!

Great tour trying something new. Cody is one great person and told us so much about the area and all. He has a great team that helps make the experience great. My family had a great time doing this tour. Always help small businesses, and am glad we were able to be there.

Perfect day on the water. Cody was a great guide. He was so informative about the local wildlife and even the plants. He was super patient with our different levels of kayaking ability. It was awesome to watch a coastal bear and cub forage for food by the shore
