Fairweather Kayaks is based in one of the most beautiful areas in southeast Alaska. A little town called Hoonah, Alaska. Not only do you feel like its home when you get here. The people here make it feel like home. It's a hard place to leave after you visit.

Fairweather Kayaks main goal is to show you an experience that when your outing is done. Not only will you walk away happy and relaxed from being out on the water. Our goal is to show you such a good time you'll be thinking about your next visit before you even leave.

Fairweather Kayaks takes you into calm waters where the kayaking experience isnt too difficult and theres always a chance to see wildlife.

What To Expect

Hoonah

We'll leave the town of Hoonah and we'll travel by an old logging camp. After that we'll get out at a place us locals call Long Island.

This was such a wonderful experience! The transportation to and from the port was prompt, and the drivers provided interesting tidbits on the way to the meeting point. Terri and Dave were terrific tour guides. Incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. They even provided snacks and water bottles during the excursion! Can't recommend this trip enough! Saw a ton of bald eagles, and the experience was a highlight of our cruise!

Fantastic locally owned and operated kayak company. Cody and Terri were fabulous guides and Michelle and Dave were a terrific support team. They supplied everything… including a brown mama bear and her cub and a dungness crab in their crab pot! Definitely a must do on your cruise stop at Icy Straight Point in Hoonah, AK! 10/10 recommend!
