Fairweather Kayaks is based in one of the most beautiful areas in southeast Alaska. A little town called Hoonah, Alaska. Not only do you feel like its home when you get here. The people here make it feel like home. It's a hard place to leave after you visit.

Fairweather Kayaks main goal is to show you an experience that when your outing is done. Not only will you walk away happy and relaxed from being out on the water. Our goal is to show you such a good time you'll be thinking about your next visit before you even leave.

Fairweather Kayaks takes you into calm waters where the kayaking experience isnt too difficult and theres always a chance to see wildlife.

What To Expect

Hoonah

We'll leave the town of Hoonah and we'll travel by an old logging camp. After that we'll get out at a place us locals call Long Island.

We had a gorgeous day to Kayak and enjoy the natural beauty in Alaska. Cody was a great guide and shared lots of information about the local area. We saw a few eagles but no other wildlife. Hopefully next time!

I’ve read all these awesome reviews and decided to book this tour. We were so excited and to tell you the truth it did not meet our expectations. It was nice, but is it worth $600 that we spent for the 4 of us? Absolutely not! Especially that we just came from Seward and spent exactly the same on a 6 hour Kenai Fjords tour where we saw whales, orcas, sea lions, sea otters, seals, calving glacier and more!!!!

Nice people , horrible weather. Poured for 2 hours and tour was not canceled. Guide paddled far ahead and we couldn't hear anything he was saying. Nice tour for good weather.
