Kayak Yellowstone Private Tour

Overview

Escape the crowds and let us show you the quiet side of the Park! We offer private guided sea kayak experiences on Yellowstone Lake. With a flexible start time, we customize the day to meet your schedule. You will be greeted on the beach of Grant Village Marina with fresh coffee and an introduction to the Park and the incredible geology at play in the region. A serene paddle in sea kayaks along the shore through crystal clear water brings us to an active geyser basin where we float alongside hot springs, fountain geysers and fumaroles. At the conclusion of our paddle; a marvelous spread, locally cured and curated charcuterie is enjoyed on the beach with the lake as a backdrop to a gourmet picnic lunch. The "Sunrise Private" is approximately 5-6 hours long with the start time flexible, however we generally aim to meet between 7:30AM-9:00AM. We can accommodate any length of paddle desired between 1 and 6 hours.

Our gourmet picnic lunch is a locally cured and curated charcuterie board replete with fresh fruits and veggies, nuts, crackers, artisan meats and cheeses. Gourmet with a view!

Fresh coffee brewed with water drawn straight from the Heart of Yellowstone, Yellowstone Lake.

We are fortunate enough to operate in the great outdoors, so we have an added margin of safety with ample airflow. However, we are happy to accommodate our guests preferences for social distancing, mask wearing etc. throughout the tour.

What To Expect

West Thumb Geyser Basin

A serene paddle along the shore through crystal clear water brings us to an active geyser basin where we float alongside hot springs, fountain geysers and fumaroles. Our guides know the secret location of thermal springs bubbling below the sand and will take your party to the location to dig your toes into the warm water on the edge of the lake!

Yellowstone National Park

Our private tours allow you to customize your kayaking and hiking experience to accommodate your schedule and desires. Short strolls, long hikes, extended paddles or brief floats, the choice is yours!

Fantastic experience Maddie and Dylan were terrific. We had such a beautiful tour and they both had so much knowledge and insight of the area. we had a group of 7 and everyone had a blast. Loved our picnic lunch! So special..

Maddie and Dylan are the best! A great tour for a family with kids 7, 16 &18. Be ready to paddle for about 3 hours, but the geothermal features and other Yellowstone sites are worth the effort. Maddie was so sweet with our 7 year-old, telling her all about the "lake farts, "tales of Yellowstone," and helped her to spot different fish, birds and other wildlife a long the way, and keeping her engaged the entire trip which is no small feat! Thank you Maddie and Dylan!!

I had a fantastic experience with Prismatic Tours! In the weeks leading up to my trip to Jackson, Jason checked in several times to suggest hikes and cultural events in town during my stay. He was very clear in his directions to the marina which I understand trips up a lot of folks. Jason also called about a week before my scheduled paddle (second weekend in October) to say the weather was going to be bad, potentially even dangerous, on our scheduled day, and asked could we push up the date by one week. I was able to make the change and he was absolutely right. We had a glorious day on the lake, with great instructions, great attitude, great energy and a great lunch. Jason was so knowledgeable about Yellowstone, the wildlife and Jackson Hole hiking and travel. I will definitely repeat this trip.
