Kayak Yellowstone Private Tour

Overview

Escape the crowds and let us show you the quiet side of the Park! We offer private guided sea kayak experiences on Yellowstone Lake. With a flexible start time, we customize the day to meet your schedule. You will be greeted on the beach of Grant Village Marina with fresh coffee and an introduction to the Park and the incredible geology at play in the region. A serene paddle in sea kayaks along the shore through crystal clear water brings us to an active geyser basin where we float alongside hot springs, fountain geysers and fumaroles. At the conclusion of our paddle; a marvelous spread, locally cured and curated charcuterie is enjoyed on the beach with the lake as a backdrop to a gourmet picnic lunch. The "Sunrise Private" is approximately 5-6 hours long with the start time flexible, however we generally aim to meet between 7:30AM-9:00AM. We can accommodate any length of paddle desired between 1 and 6 hours.

We are fortunate enough to operate in the great outdoors, so we have an added margin of safety with ample airflow. However, we are happy to accommodate our guests preferences for social distancing, mask wearing etc. throughout the tour.

What To Expect

West Thumb Geyser Basin

A serene paddle along the shore through crystal clear water brings us to an active geyser basin where we float alongside hot springs, fountain geysers and fumaroles. Our guides know the secret location of thermal springs bubbling below the sand and will take your party to the location to dig your toes into the warm water on the edge of the lake!

Yellowstone National Park

Our private tours allow you to customize your kayaking and hiking experience to accommodate your schedule and desires. Short strolls, long hikes, extended paddles or brief floats, the choice is yours!

Cannot say enough good things about this crew and this experience. Yellowstone can be an overwhelming place in the summer with a high volume of tourism, but being on the water you feel as if you have the entire place to yourself! I brought my family that was visiting for a tour and Natty and crew made us feel so at home. For my sisters, the thought of kayaking for an extended period of time was very daunting. They did so well to make sure the paddle was nothing less than a fun and enjoyable experience. Natty was SUCH a knowledgeble and fun guide that not only taught us about the history and science behind what makes Yellowstone so special but he made it interactive! From holding and examinging all the different types of volcanic rocks, watching streams of bubbles purkulating from below, to digging your toes into the sand to feel the heat for yourself. When we finished our paddle we were greeted on the beach by the most incredible spread of locally sourced charcuterie, don't even get me started on that bacon fig jam! YUM!! Truly an experience of a lifetime that I cannot recommend enough. If you are planning a trip to yellowstone, this is really the way to see it!
