Deception Pass State Park

Deception Pass State Park is Washington's most popular state park. Over one million visitors and residents visit Deception Pass to explore its beautiful trails and scenic beaches, and to walk across the historic Deception Pass Bridge.

Fidalgo Island

Bowman Bay is located on Fidalgo Island and offers a peaceful place for kayakers of all ages and abilities. Just outside the bay participants are treated to expansive views of Fidalgo Island and the rest of the San Juan islands.

We recently went as a family on the Quickie kayak tour and all of us agree that it was a great experience! I accidentally booked the tour the day before our intended date and although they had to take a small fee for the inconvenience, they were very accommodating. They were able to book us for a date and time we wanted. Being novices, the tour guide was able to teach us the basics and also talked to us about whatever we observed in the water. He also eased our fears about anything that could go wrong along the way and was patient with us as we were learning. Overall, I highly recommend reserving a spot if you’re ever in the Anacortes area!

My grandchildren were visiting and I wanted to take them on an experience they'd never had before. We really were happy with the entire experience. Jake was our guide and we were so happy to have him take us on this adventure. I felt safe, he was flexible and made certain we all felt comfortable in our boats. He was able to paddle to each of us and even spent some time inquiring about my grandchildren's plans for school and their interests. Thank you so much for providing this experience. We will be back.
