Deception Pass State Park

Deception Pass State Park is Washington's most popular state park. Over one million visitors and residents visit Deception Pass to explore its beautiful trails and scenic beaches, and to walk across the historic Deception Pass Bridge.

Fidalgo Island

Bowman Bay is located on Fidalgo Island and offers a peaceful place for kayakers of all ages and abilities. Just outside the bay participants are treated to expansive views of Fidalgo Island and the rest of the San Juan islands.

Great experience. Guide was excellent and patient. He helped when needed and was very attentive. We felt safe and watched while 4 of us tried sea kayaking for the first time. Thank you.

My friends and I were visiting Anacortes before we head to Friday harbor and decided to experience Deception Pass in a new way! We found Anacortes Kayak Tours on trip advisor and had the best evening with our guide Ben! We would say we are beginner kayakers and Ben made every step easy to follow and made sure we were safe and having fun. We saw everything from 2 bald eagles to a purple starfish, to 3 playful otters following us in to the docking area at the end. Unforgettable evening! Thanks again!

The equipment was good however I wasn’t expecting to steer the kayak with my feet. I never really got the hang of steering the kayak. Our guide was very patient and pointed out some interesting points of interest.
