Deception Pass State Park

Deception Pass State Park is Washington's most popular state park. Over one million visitors and residents visit Deception Pass to explore its beautiful trails and scenic beaches, and to walk across the historic Deception Pass Bridge.

Fidalgo Island

Bowman Bay is located on Fidalgo Island and offers a peaceful place for kayakers of all ages and abilities. Just outside the bay participants are treated to expansive views of Fidalgo Island and the rest of the San Juan islands.

A really nice 90 minute tour around several little islands in Deception Pass. Kayaks were well maintained, safety was strongly observed and our guide, Sasha was friendly and informative. Bring an extra $10 to get into the state park where the launch is located in Bowman Bay. Don’t bring too much stuff because the splash skirt you wear will cut you off at the waist so you can’t get to things in your lap, and there’s not really a place to put other things, like a cell phone. It was a great experience to kayak with Anacortes Kayak Tours. Jake our guide was professional and made the trip enjoyable. We will definitely, consider the 3 hr tour next summer.

Sam was our guide, and he simply made the tour - great safety brief, great situational awareness during the tour, great oratory skills and explanation of the local environment. Bioluminescent tour is just surreal.
