Deception Pass State Park

Deception Pass State Park is Washington's most popular state park. Over one million visitors and residents visit Deception Pass to explore its beautiful trails and scenic beaches, and to walk across the historic Deception Pass Bridge.

Fidalgo Island

Bowman Bay is located on Fidalgo Island and offers a peaceful place for kayakers of all ages and abilities. Just outside the bay participants are treated to expansive views of Fidalgo Island and the rest of the San Juan islands.

One of the coolest things I've experienced. Deception Pass is an amazing place no doubt-our guide Liam was amazing and really knowledgeable of the surroundings and had a way of making you feel comfortable doing what you are about to do-kayaking on a lake is one thing but sea kayaking, to me, was at first nerve racking. In the end, worth every dime! Don't worry if you don't bring cash for tip-they accept venmo/cashapp. Thank you for what turned out to be an amazing moment!

Bowman Bay is an outstanding place to comfortably kayak or paddle board. It's beautiful and protected from large waves. It was easy to get the kayak into the water. The folks we rented the kayak from - Anacortes Kayak Tours - were helpful but rather disorganized - not clear who was supposed to be working that day.

Nick is an amazing guide. We are so lucky to have such a knowledgeable person. He explained kayaking techniques, and helped us enjoy nature and also learn. We felt safe with a guide than going alone. Highly recommend ! 10/10. Thanks Nick
