Deception Pass State Park

Deception Pass State Park is Washington's most popular state park. Over one million visitors and residents visit Deception Pass to explore its beautiful trails and scenic beaches, and to walk across the historic Deception Pass Bridge.

Fidalgo Island

Bowman Bay is located on Fidalgo Island and offers a peaceful place for kayakers of all ages and abilities. Just outside the bay participants are treated to expansive views of Fidalgo Island and the rest of the San Juan islands.

Our guide, Shawn, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He made sure that my family of 4 (2 of whom have not done any sea kayaking) had a pleasant experience. I highly recommend these folks if you are going to be in the Deception pass state park.

The bioluminescence kayaking trip is a must. Kayaking amongst a few harbor seals while watching an amazing sunset would have been worth it on its own. But that was followed up learning about a seeing bioluminescence in action. Great fun.
