Deception Pass State Park

Deception Pass State Park is Washington's most popular state park. Over one million visitors and residents visit Deception Pass to explore its beautiful trails and scenic beaches, and to walk across the historic Deception Pass Bridge.

Fidalgo Island

Bowman Bay is located on Fidalgo Island and offers a peaceful place for kayakers of all ages and abilities. Just outside the bay participants are treated to expansive views of Fidalgo Island and the rest of the San Juan islands.

Jake and Ryan were great guides! They made sure that our Great Old Broads for Wilderness group of--well, old broads--was comfortable and safe in the kayaks before we even launched. Most of us were inexperienced, and they were very helpful with tips on technique (I wasn’t sore the next day!) as well as being knowledgeable about the natural history of the area. They made it a fun and educational experience for all.

This was my first time sea kayaking and I really enjoyed it. The length was great for an introduction to the activity. Guides were awesome. Would recommend!

Liam, our guide, was very skilled and knowledgeable. The weather was perfection & there were Dahl's porpoises,a bald eagle, pigeon guillemotes with their bright red legs and feet, seals & sparkly tiny silver fish jumping up a foot out of the water to avoid being a seal's lunch!
