Deception Pass State Park is Washington's most popular state park. Over one million visitors and residents visit Deception Pass to explore its beautiful trails and scenic beaches, and to walk across the historic Deception Pass Bridge.

Fidalgo Island

Bowman Bay is located on Fidalgo Island and offers a peaceful place for kayakers of all ages and abilities. Just outside the bay participants are treated to expansive views of Fidalgo Island and the rest of the San Juan islands.

My husband and I spent a few hours on a beautiful fall day kayaking in Bowman Bay. The guided tour was exceptional with Emma as our guide. Although we have kayaked in single kayaks before, this was our first experience in a tandem kayak. The boat felt safe and sturdy and Emma was patient in giving us tips about paddling and working together. We were able to see a few blue herons and other birds. We also paddled into a secret cove. Such a gorgeous area. The Anacortes tour is well worth your time and is a great way to spend a few hours. It was the highlight of our trip to the Pacific Northwest!

I recently took 40 Girl Scouts out on the 90 minute tour from Bowman Bay. It was the first sea-kayak experience for most. Our guides Jay and Tim were very thorough in reviewing all the safety pieces, were extremely patient with the teenagers, and when the wind picked up guided us all to safety. Thank YOU for not only a fun experience, but also the seal sightings and the salty sea kelp snacks. We'll be back.

It was a perfect day of sunshine! The view was spectacular on land and on the water. Quinn, our guide, was knowledgeable, friendly, help, and extremely patient. It was our first time kayaking, but he Made us feel comfortable and safe. We saw seals sun bathing on a rock. Deception State Park is must see with it’s glorious views!
