Kayaking in Hickory Island Preserve

Overview
Over 500 5-star reviews on other platforms! Why? Our guides at Adventures Kayaking love what they do! We do our very best to make sure you have a great time out on the water while learning about our beautiful Estero Bay estuary, the largest in SW Florida. Wildlife is abundant with healthy shorebird populations, and prime dolphin (year round) and manatee (warm water months) habitat. We launch from Big Hickory Island to paddle hidden mangrove tunnels and explore the west island beach... a beach that is only accessed by watercraft! Let us show you why our customers love this tour!

Didn’t see any dolphins or manatees but a great time none the less. Cameron was a great guide, extremely knowledgeable on the history and biology of the area.

Great tour. Cameron was an awesome guide. Mix of mangrove channels and more open water kayaking. Minor equipment challenge on our tour was competently handled by the guide and other tourists. Didn’t see much wildlife other than birds, and red tide provided plenty of dead fish to see. One caution is you’re paddling against (and with) tidal currents for half the tour, more or less, and across more open water where discourteous boaters don’t seem to care about their wakes. Not too bad and not the tour’s fault but advance warning for some guests when making equipment choices may have helped.
