In order to book this tour basic swimming skills & previous snorkeling experience are required. Guest's must be able to swim a short distance to our snorkel board & independently climb up a side boat ladder. Guest must be able to converse in English to understand verbal instructions & safety briefings. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

Love that there were only 6 of us. Small group was so nice. This experience was so enjoyable. We are even talking about the ‘next’ time we go. The mantas are gentle giants and I was pleased to meet them. Found queenie #272 on the pacific manta identification site. The staff were exceptional. From suiting up to boarding the boat to meeting our guide Eli every step was carefully outlined and explained. We were comfortable and awed while floating along watching our mantas feed and chest bump. Thank you so much!

Thank you Theresa. It's great to hear that you enjoyed the tour and had such a good experience. I remember back in 2018 when Queenie was first identified how small she was. Last time I had the chance to see her I was blown away by how much she had grown. She is a great manta and surely knows how to flip with the Big Girls now. It rocked!!!!! They even had hot chocolate after so you can warm up. We had everything we needed. Just pray that the people you're with, can follow simple instructions (keep body straight so you don't kick the mantas!). We saw so many!! And we were given lots of time to be in the water with them to enjoy!! Definitely worth doing!

What a thrill! The Manta Rays come so close to you in the safest, gentlest way possible. Small group of six using a paddle board with lights and plankton to attract the rays. You float on a noodle (life jacket Available if you want one) and just chill in the water for a solid 30 minutes taking in their wonder. Wet suits provided that were sanitized and dry. Really nice captain, in water guide, and on land guide. A few folks in our group had mobility issues and this was definitely not the activity for them, as you have to jump off the side of the boat to get into the water and climb a ladder up to get out of the water. Sea sickness expected if choppy waters. If you are fit and looking for serious fun, check this spot out. Very affordable too!
