We only saw 5 Manta Rays and were paired up with other groups The guides told us to lay flat because ANY movement would keep the mantas away AND YET They continuously kicked with there long fins which definitely was a deterrent We compare this to a trip we took with another operator in Kailua Kona where we saw at least 25 Mantas and they swam straight up to us mouths open instead of merely swimming by

On our schedule tour, unfortunately we did not see any Manta Rays. However, the company honored their policy of rebooking for a different night. We returned the next night and did see one large Manta Ray. The tour guides were friendly and accommodating.

The tours were too close together, and I felt like I was on an assembly line. The experience was amazing, but I would’ve liked to learn more natural history about the manta rays and have the group allow more time to learn about them before we went in the water.
