In order to book this tour basic swimming skills & previous snorkeling experience are required. Guest's must be able to swim a short distance to our snorkel board & independently climb up a side boat ladder. Guest must be able to converse in English to understand verbal instructions & safety briefings. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

Wow!!!!!!!! What an amazing night on Monday, May 10! Our group had just one other couple with us. They are newlyweds and we are celebrating our 30th anniversary. What made the evening even better was that until our excursion, there had only been 3 - 4 mantas. When we arrived, we saw between 10 - 15! Including Big Bertha and the other female whose name I forget, but is decades old and HUGE!!! Highly recommend this excursion since the group will be no more than 6 people.

The manta ray night snorkel was sooo much fun! They come so close to you in the water. Ola was great at keeping us all afloat! When you go out, they give you a wetsuit. The boat ride is very short, maybe 3min or less. There are a bunch of other tour groups that snorkel in the same spot - the guides hold together all the boards to make a human millipede in the water. You have 30min in the water to watch the huge manta rays swim by and eat plankton. Some of the other guides were telling people manta ray facts, which was fun! There's some other fish out too! I would totally do this again if I come back.

We had a great time snorkeling with the manta rays! Saw about 10 of them! It was a very neat experience!
