Wet suits, not just a wet suit top, made a big difference. Floating while hanging onto a handle on a light board causes no movement to really keep you warm which is why it makes a difference. Water isnā€™t colder just because it is night.

Thank you for the review. We're glad to hear our wetsuits kept you warmer and more comfortable while out viewing the mantas. This time of year, the water temperature is actually warmer than the air temperature at night, so a short boat ride back to dry land is super convenient when finishing the tour, where hot drinks and snacks await. We appreciate your support and hope to see you again. Aloha.

My sister, cousin, and I had an amazing time! I loved that we were with a smaller group. We got to see so many manta rays! I will say if your prone to motion sickness to definitely take some anti nausea medication before! We were also given a spray to put in our goggles to help with fogging that really helped! I would definitely do this tour again! This company also has one of the best prices Iā€™ve seen for this excursion!

Thank you! We sincerely appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear that you had a great time out with your family. We are one of the few companies to offer such a family friendly, budget friendly tour and really strive to make it all about the experience versus the money. Mahalo for joining us and we hope to see you again.

This is an ABSOLUTE must do! This is definitely not something that you can do anywhere in the world. It is so unique, and so amazing. It was scary to imagineā€¦ going out into the pitch black ocean to try to see manta rays up close. But, in reality, it was anything but scary. First, you are actually still in the bay, not out in the open sea! I have no clue how deep the water was that we were in, but it is so clear you can see all the way to bottom! So no worries of something dark and ominous coming up from the depths! We had several manta rays to meet us that night! They were so beautiful and so gentle. Even though you arenā€™t supposed to reach out and touch them, they will undoubtedly brush by you! It really was one of my favorite things while on the big island. My sons, 10 and 12, loves it also. Itā€™s totally family friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Also, the check in folks and captain, as well as your guide in the water, were really great! You cannot be disappointed!

We couldn't agree more! The manta ray night snorkel is a hit and a favorite from young to old. Kona's mantas are SPECIAL and we love sharing their underwater feeding ballet with others. I always tell people that the tour is more magical than it is terrifying and sounds like you agree. Getting to do the tour in front of the Sheraton hotel provides the perfect set up for seeing multiple manta rays while not having to venture to far from shore. The mantas will feed in that area which runs from 15ft to 60ft (depending on where the food is at) before sloping off into the deep. I am so glad to hear that you and your family got to experience this all together and thank you for allowing us to be apart of it. Mahalo for your support and high recommendation. We hope to see everyone again. Aloha.
