In order to book this tour basic swimming skills & previous snorkeling experience are required. Guest's must be able to swim a short distance to our snorkel board & independently climb up a side boat ladder. Guest must be able to converse in English to understand verbal instructions & safety briefings. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

Snorkeling with the manta rays was a fantastic experience for my husband and me. We are so glad that we went with Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours. We tend to get cold easily and worried about whether we would be uncomfortable while snorkeling and on the ride back. They provided clean, DRY wetsuits for us. In addition, the trip back on the zodiac is just 5 minutes, a big advantage over some of the other companies. We were fine. Of course, the best part was their expertise in getting us to just the right spot to be surrounded by eight manta rays cavorting and “dancing” within inches of us the entire time. Thank you to the entire team for a magical memory to last a lifetime.

We had such an amazing experience seeing the Manta Rays. Our trip first trip was initially cancelled due to there being no manta rays in the area. Hawaii Island & Ocean Tours rebooked us immediately and we were able to see 3 Mantas! The Captain and crew were very helpful.
