In order to book this tour basic swimming skills & previous snorkeling experience are required. Guest's must be able to swim a short distance to our snorkel board & independently climb up a side boat ladder. Guest must be able to converse in English to understand verbal instructions & safety briefings. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

This is one of the most amazing experiences I can report in my lifetime. We had 7 Mantas getting up close and personal with us. The guides were great, offering specific direction and help along the way to make it a great snorkel.

This was a truly amazing experience to have with my 16-year-old and 10-year-old kids. My daughter was a bit nervous to be in the ocean at night, but there was a beautiful full moon and we felt completely safe. We must’ve seen at least 15 manta rays. They were constantly in our view and came so close to us that we felt their wings brushing against our bodies. It was like being in a movie. I was literally giddy with laughter every time a manta ray swooped right in front of my face. It was a perfect night. The drive back to Hilo on Saddle Road was not bad at all, so if you can’t get a room in Kona, no worries! This is worth the drive!
