This is a small van tour(6 of us in group) around Ketichikan. The tour guide Mike provided some history and cultural context while giving an overview of the area. Mike was amusing and kept the trip interesting. The highlights of our tour was the tide-pools by the beach, whales, bald eagles, and salmon migrating. The tour will variety by month of the summer, luck, and interest of those on the tour(ie don't expect salmon in May, or lots of Bears in June). I liked seeing several areas of Ketichikan in a relatively short period of time. This was a low intensity activity that worked well with children and for older travelers. If you want to see any of the sites in great detail than a different tour should be selected due to the time limitations of this time of tour. This tour left us time for an afternoon excursion.

We jointed this tour in July 2018. This tour was provided by the Seaside Tour, a local family business group. At the beginning I thought it was not so professional, however, I felt the tour guider was so great during the entire tour. He made all efforts to let us see all exacting things in Ketchikan. The tour was scheduled for 2.5 hours, actually, he spent 3 hour to finish it. I think this

Our guide Eli was a knowledge and entertaining guide. We saw many eagles on the tour and his charming recitation of the local history was wonderful. He adjusted the trip to allow for a couple of visits to the bear sighting but we had no luck, bears do not appear on a schedule. All in all we had a great experience.
