I'm living in Seattle, Duck Boats are relatively popular. You see them going by, but for the most part, they're not very popular in the sense that locals know the guides are a little bit boring. Never being on a Duck Boat Tour myself (and being a little bit skeptical from the judgment in Washington locals), I decided I needed to gather my own opinion. I am SO GLAD I did in Ketchikan with Alex. This kid was spot on! My family and I (we are all adults) went on a Cruise last month; Ketchikan was our first stop. We saw The Duck Tour parking spot right off the ship and waited 15 minutes or so. We knew this was going to be a great guide the instant Alex showed up. Everyone was standing in the way of where The Driver (I can't remember his name but he was funny too!) needed to park. It looked like Alex was a little lost for words when he humorously called out, "Hey, we're going to be moving this right over here ... so uh ... just watch out"! Alex proved to be HIGHLY entertaining! I couldn't believe such a young man could have the sort of pure, child-friendly (even at Dolly's House Museum), and smart humor that coming from a high school student! Alex was consistently captivating his audience with his interesting facts coupled with witty jokes and commentary. We even had a cheering contest with his older brother (I bet his tour is fun too) before we drove off into the water. Alex was also sure to promptly talk about safety procedures, which I appreciated. When Alex checked the outside of The Duck before entering the water, The Driver kept us entertained with his subtle, yet hilarious, humor! The Driver was also an impeccable driver on both land and water. Alex did a great job! He was entertaining; highly knowledgeable about history, science, traffic, Juno Drama, road systems, salmon mating and cycles, etc.; and overall, he made a strangely beautifully sunny Ketchikan day EVEN better! I think I even managed to get an ab workout with all the laughing. He displayed himself in the kind of respectable manner I would expect from a kind young adult. This was definitely on the top of my favorite excursions list. Thank you, Ketchikan Duck Tour!

Captain D and Gil were an amazing team! We got a great tour of the town of Ketchikan. Gil gave us lot of info concerning the area and he and Captain D appeared to have a really good relationship. Both of the gentlemen seamed to really enjoy their jobs and that is HUGE!!

Land and sea tour around Ketchikan was fun. Learned about the history of the town and saw the sights. During the tour the vehicle goes into the water by the marina and you get a different perspective of the town. Driver Peg was fun as well as our narrator who told funny and interesting stories.
