If you are concerned about seasickness, please note that this tour stays in the calm, protected waters of the Inside Passage and does not go out into the open ocean; large waves and rough seas will not be encountered
Guests must be able to navigate a 9-step boarding ladder to enter the vessel. Each step is approx 6" high. Guests are seated during the entire tour
Wheelchairs, strollers and walkers are not taken on board the boat; instead they are taken at the bottom of the boarding ladder and taken to a dry, secure area during the tour and returned at the conclusion of the tour

My wife , 2 kids, and I jumped on board the Ketchikan Duck Tours and loved it! Great explanation of the area, the history, the people by our guide, Nikki. She was great and only 15!! Good perspective of the island and some wildlife - saw bald eagles and seals. Heard interesting facts about the city and its claim to fame as the Salmon Capital of the World!

This is like many amphibious vehicle tours we've been on elsewhere. Our tour guide was quite funny and informative. They took us through town, highlighting historical and more current items of interest, then we plunged into the water and took a tour from the water. We saw many seals and Bald Eagles. These tours are inexpensive and fun ways to get a nice overview of the town and its history. Great for kids of all ages (0-99)!

If you want to see everything that Ketchikan has in one tour, then this is it. Our guide was a local, and even taught us some of the high school fight songs against Juneau, which was fun. It's still amazing to me that people settled in these remote locations. My only compliant was that the bus we were on was not well maintained. The speakers in the back were broken and it was often difficult to hear the guide, especially when it turned into a boat ride.
