We really enjoyed our fishing excursion with William. He only took us out for halibut fishing as the salmon fishing wasn't good. Caught halibut, rock fish, cod. Would highly recommend him. Was very personable and wandered the boat talking to each of us.

The guide was 45 minutes late to pick us up. He was supposed to arrive at 6am and didn’t show up until 6:45 and the phone number didn’t work. Then, it was supposed to be a 4 hour fishing trip. It was more like a 2.5 hour fishing trip and he said “there’s no fish, let’s go back”- he had returned us to the ship after 4 hours. Waste of time and money.

Had a great time with Captain William and his son. His boat was docked right across from our cruise ship, and his son was waiting near the disembarkation point with a sign with our name on it. There were four total passengers the day we were in Ketchikan. There were four lines out, with downriggers, to quickly get our bait in front of salmon. We were there in late July 2017, and we landed 5 Coho Silver and 3 Pink plus a King that was too small to keep, but their run was primarily over by this time. Captain William was determined to ensure we had a successful trip, and did what was necessary to find the salmon. He is obviously very experienced in these waters and knew what areas to check. We completed processing paperwork on the way back, dropped off our catch, then returned to the cruise ship in our allotted time. We still had time to explore Ketchikan for about 90 minutes before leaving port. Highly recommend using this smaller operation, for a more personalized experience! Much better than booking through Cruise line
