Overview

Let's raise a glass to history! This fun, informative and engaging 90-minute walking tour is sure to please anyone who wants to really get to know the local culture of Ketchikan. You'll embark on your pub crawl with a true local who will share the colorful history of the bar scene through stories and vintage photographs. You'll hear infamous stories of days gone by, facts of the prohibition era when the red-light district was in full swing and the legacy of many of Ketchikan’s most popular hot spots. Guests must be 21 years of age, have legal photo ID and be able to walk over the course of ¾ mile, flat terrain. Must dress for the weather.

Even though we had an incredibly small tour group, Chelsea never missed a beat. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and provided great insights to each bar & local history. We truly appreciated Chelsea’s intimate knowledge of Ketchikan (as a local), the bars, the history, and her friendliness. Highly recommend this tour to sample some local beers and mixed drinks, and to drink among local’s who are incredibly friendly and accepting.

We had an awesome time with Chelsea! There were 6 of us in our party on an Alaskan cruise and this event was a highlight for sure. I think the Asylum Bar was my favorite as the owner was a true character and gave away a couple of free shirts. We took some shots (duck farts) and they were great. I bought Chelsea one and she enjoyed it along with our group. My wife drank one but they were a bit strong for her taste but as always she enjoyed herself immensely. Even though we had the drink package on board this was a fun event I would definitely do again.
