Overview

Let's raise a glass to history! This fun, informative and engaging 90-minute walking tour is sure to please anyone who wants to really get to know the local culture of Ketchikan. You'll embark on your pub crawl with a true local who will share the colorful history of the bar scene through stories and vintage photographs. You'll hear infamous stories of days gone by, facts of the prohibition era when the red-light district was in full swing and the legacy of many of Ketchikan’s most popular hot spots. Guests must be 21 years of age, have legal photo ID and be able to walk over the course of ¾ mile, flat terrain. Must dress for the weather.

I had visited Ketchikan a few years ago and fell in love with this place. So when I returned this summer and heard there was now a pub crawl in town, I was super excited. It honestly met my expectations and then some. Ketchikan is full of history, especially in the bar scene, so it was awesome to hear about how these bars came to be and the colorful times they lived through. My group was lucky enough to have all 3 guides with us on tour and they were super fun and engaging. They are locals in town and have great relationships with the bar owners and everyone in town which made me feel like a local for the day too. My friends and I had the best day and I would tell anyone visiting Ketchikan that this is a must do! And also to try the duck fart shot, it’s an Alaskan classic.

Our tour guide Cullen was AMAZING, he was fun and very knowledgeable! My wife and I had a great time. All the the bars we went to had the best drinks and good atmospheres! Our last stop at Creek Street Cabaret was wonderful, thanks Rachel!

If you’ve already crossed off Ketchikan’s landmarks and excursions, make sure to book a pub crawl with either Xavier, Stasha, or Cullen. I had the pleasure of touring Ketchikan’s local pubs and learn about the town history with a few libations in between stories! It’s a great way for locals, seasonals, and tourists to enjoy the afternoon. The tour guides have great energy levels, engaging photos and facts not to bore you, and don’t forget the amazing outfits!
