Of all the excursions we did while on an Alaskan cruise, this was our least favorite. We paddled with people who didn't know how to coordinate strokes, with no instruction from our guide. Wildlife - we say a loon! The nature walk was interesting but overall we felt this experience was not worth $100/person.

This excursion far exceeded the description and we were pleasantly surprised. We first of all got a nice ride on a coach bus to the private lake deep in the Tongass National Forest. The lady who drove the bus was a wealth of knowledge and we learned a lot on the ride, along with some laughs as she had a fun sense of humor. When we got to the lake we were taken away by the beauty of being so remote and seeing the mountains and trees that surrounded this beautiful, private lake. We were fortunate enough to have Cole as our guide! He was so patient, and seemed so happy to be doing what the was doing. The wealth of knowledge he had was impressive. Guides like him are what make these that much more memorable. Such a fun and relaxing experience!!

Just had an amazing tour with Doran! He was incredibly knowledgeable. At our first stop which was to see totem poles you could tell how passionate he was about the subject and how excited he was to share what he knew with us. The second part of the trip was a canoe and nature walk at a beautiful lake - he was a fantastic guide there as well! Thank you Doran! I would defiantly recommend your tour to anyone coming to Ketchikan who wished to learn a lot and see a lot in a pretty short amount of time!
