We had Tom as our guide and he was fantastic! He used humor and honesty to keep us informed and entertained. We had an unusually sunny day for a serene canoe ride and beautiful rainforest walk.

Bus driver was very friendly and informative Scenery was breathtaking Little rainy but it was the rain forest (They supplied some good rain gear) Food prepared at tent was delicious Coffee was great also Our guide Molly was fantastic and extremely informative as well. In fact she and a fellow guide drove the 30 minutes back into town to bring my backpack that I left at the lake. I would have recommended this excursion over and above the other ones anyways but going out of her way and bringing my backpack was awesome customer service. Thanks Tess no no no I mean MollyšŸ˜‰

After being on a cruise ship with 2000 people it was lovely to get out into the wilderness. About a 45 minute drive outside Ketchikan took us through wooded scenery to Harriet Hunt lake where we met Jesus and Doran our guides. After donning life jackets and picking up our paddles we climbed aboard. The paddling was very gentle, I'm not even sure that everyone took part. Doran was full of information about the lake and it's flora and amusing as well. We stopped on an island where Chuck had prepared a spread of,smoked salmon pate, bread, berry jam, clam chowder, coffee and hot chocolate, all very tasty. Before getting back in the canoe Doran took us on a nature walk pointing out more plants and trees. This was an ideal tour as we still had plenty of time back in Ketchikan to explore on our own.Highly recommended.
