What To Expect

Florida Keys

From our sun deck, you will have a panoramic offshore view of the Florida Keys and can view the ever-changing colors of the Atlantic Ocean. Once we reach the reef, you will be able to observe the coral reef through our large viewing windows, which are large enough for everyone to observe the reef at the same time and are located along the center of the boat and installed flat so there is no distortion other than what nature creates. Everything you see on our tour is or was alive and the reef itself is built off of many varieties of living coral and teems with an assortment of sea life. Your tour guide will be able to point out all kinds of sea creatures which may include sea fans, sea plumes and hundreds of fish ranging from small tropical to larger species sought after by local fishermen.

Crew was great and I learned a lot about Molasses Reef. The reef is losing color and fish due to sea temperature change

Obviously activities like this are affected by a lot of factors - like weather, other passengers, conditions out on the water. But the staff and crew of the Key Largo Princess Glass Bottom Boat take care of everything else! Everyone was friendly and professional. The boat is comfortable (great a/c and seating below - great views up top) and well outfitted with a bar, snacks, etc. We had a great time! The water was clear, we saw a fair amount of undersea life - and had the unexpected treat of being escorted back to shore by a pod of lively dolphins. While no one can guarantee that, I highly recommend this attraction! Nice way to spend a couple of hours out on the water!

I was really looking forward to this excursion out to see the sights under the water near Key Largo. I had been on a glass bottom boat many years ago and was awed by the views of live coral and fish. We saw very little in the way of live coral on this trip, mostly sea grass and sea fans. I guess for most people that just want a nice boat ride for a couple of hours this would satisfy their visit. I know there has been a lot of damage to the corals in the waters of South Florida, but I was just so disappointed in what I saw.
