What To Expect

Florida Keys

From our sun deck, you will have a panoramic offshore view of the Florida Keys and can view the ever-changing colors of the Atlantic Ocean. Once we reach the reef, you will be able to observe the coral reef through our large viewing windows, which are large enough for everyone to observe the reef at the same time and are located along the center of the boat and installed flat so there is no distortion other than what nature creates. Everything you see on our tour is or was alive and the reef itself is built off of many varieties of living coral and teems with an assortment of sea life. Your tour guide will be able to point out all kinds of sea creatures which may include sea fans, sea plumes and hundreds of fish ranging from small tropical to larger species sought after by local fishermen.

Had a wonderful time. Close up view of the majestic coral reef through huge windows in bottom of boat. Also saw lots of fish, turtles. etc. Enjoyed the ocean voyage as well :) (45 minutes out and back). Sea was relatively calm on the day we traveled. If you're concerned about high swells / seasickness, google "Florida Keys Reef Surf Report." Anything 2 feet or less will not cause nausea to the average person.

Just don't waste your time and money on this. I very rarely must give a poor review here, but I must on this one. The First Mate was very kind and helped me down the stairs (I'd had surgery). The ship is described as "luxurious," but it is just a very ordinary boat, nothing even close to luxurious. The coral was a matte green, nothing colorful. Plant life---what there was of it---was not varied or colorful. I saw one lackluster turtle. My husband did see a very small shark, but I could not. A jellyfish was pointed out to us, but neither of us saw it. It was a total waste of money and time. The narration might have been interesting, but a bad sound system prevented hearing it, and we were only a few feet from him. Plan to do something different while in Key Largo.

Individuals that work for the company on the boat were very polite. However 7 miles they’re 7 miles back looking at things through a glass bottom was just a average experience.
