What To Expect
1
Florida Keys
From our sun deck, you will have a panoramic offshore view of the Florida Keys and can view the ever-changing colors of the Atlantic Ocean. Once we reach the reef, you will be able to observe the coral reef through our large viewing windows, which are large enough for everyone to observe the reef at the same time and are located along the center of the boat and installed flat so there is no distortion other than what nature creates. Everything you see on our tour is or was alive and the reef itself is built off of many varieties of living coral and teems with an assortment of sea life. Your tour guide will be able to point out all kinds of sea creatures which may include sea fans, sea plumes and hundreds of fish ranging from small tropical to larger species sought after by local fishermen.

I schedules this for my Dad and family for Father’s day. It happened to be rainy all day, but the indoor part of the boat let us still enjoy the glass bottom and see the coral reefs. Very pleased with the Key Largo Princess Glass Bottom Boat.

This was a great excursion, but I did get seasick. To be fair, the crew did prepare us for this and offered motion sickness medication prior to departure. I chose not to take the medicine because we weren't going too far out. I was fine while standing on the front, top deck on the way out and back to the dock. The only time I got sick was while we were viewing the coral reef downstairs. Very interesting to see the reef and ocean life below the surface. The crew were very knowledgeable about the different types of coral and marine life. Overall I did enjoy the glass bottom boat experience.

The sea was relatively calm (it rocked, however, any sailor would say: the sea was calm) but you did not see many water animals. In my opinion, this reef is already very destroyed. Seating on the open deck is not available, only in the glass cabin area you can sit. 7 miles equals 45 minutes the journey to the reef, there 30 minutes glass bottom viewing of the reef and again 45 minutes back.
