In Key Largo there are many tour operators offered a boat tour and snorkelling trip out to the Pennekamp Coral Reef. I decided to go on the Sundiver III, the boat was lovely, easy to find, the staff were friendly and gave a great rolling explanation of the local area as we passed. The boat ride out to the reef was lovely, you could sit on the top deck and feel the wind in your face and observe the panaromic views looking back at the Keys. Unfortunately, this was the best part. Although you are provided with a wetsuit, snorkels and fins to use, the Coral reef was thoroughly dissapointing, most of it dead or dying. I suppose this is the hazard of running so many tours in a particular area. If you want a nice boat ride, go for it, but if you are wanting to see Coral reef - don't waste your time.

Sundiver does a great job and makes your snorkel tour great! They have been in business here in the Keys for decades, and their knowledge and expertise is the reason why. Lots of snorkel/dive businesses in the Upper Keys are fly-by-night, and they don't last long, but Sundiver has just kept on doing what they do well, which is to provide a safe, yet fun, experience in the beautiful Florida Keys waters. Whether it's on the Sundiver III or the Happy Kat, you're sure to have lots of fun! Give 'em a try!

We went as a party of 10, 7 of whom went snorkeling, on February 15th. First the good: Mike was great! He was very informative and friendly. I can't remember the other employee on the boat, but he was excellent as well! He gave very clear instructions to everyone, and was patient in answering questions. We were all very impressed with this tour and everyone had a great time. The not-so-good: the employee who worked in the booth was very rude and nasty to us. I was incredulous that this company allowed someone in their front-end customer-service related role when she was so abrupt and unfriendly. It could have ruined our day but we figured this was a one-time purchase and chalked it up to experience.
