Just finished up a 2 hour kayaking eco tour with Brian as our guide. It was super fun and very informative!! Kaimana (Brianā€™s dog) joined us on the tour and she was such a delightful addition. Brian is incredibly knowledgeable about the local ecosystem and marine biology. If you are looking for some sun and some super cool info about the local biology, search no more!

We have been on this type of kayaking adventure elsewhere, so knew what to expect. We were conveniently picked up in town. The driver, who also led our tour, pointed out interesting things along the way to Lazy Dog's site. We went out with a small group of about 6 double-kayaks - I would have preferred a single kayak, but the guide strongly recommended the doubles. The group paddled mostly along the shore-line of a beautiful mangrove-lined natural area - this is preferable to just paddling into the middle of a lake. We were not hurried along at all, so it was not strenuous. We did not see any significant wildlife (not unusual), except for a huge flock of pelicans roosting in the trees and flying over the water, which was fascinating. Lazy Dog is a well-run operation, with very friendly and accommodating staff. We went on their 2-hour afternoon tour, had a fun time, and highly recommend it.

From the moment John picked us up from our hotel, we knew we had made the right decision to go on this kayaking trip. The staff that helped us get into the water, the guided tour John gave us, and the beautiful scenery all made for a spectacular morning. We learned so much about the plants and animals in the Keys and the ocean.
