Overview

Swimming with magical giants as they dance and float right in front of your eyes is a truly magical Kona experience!

Our night manta ray snorkel tours begin departing at 6 p.m. and run until 10 p.m. and last about an hour.

Important note:
-Participants must be experienced swimmers and in good health in order to participate.
-Must have basic snorkeling experience.
-Weight Policy: Anyone 260 and over (not to exceed 320) is required to purchase an additional seat.

All participants must be experienced swimmers and have snorkel experience. Children must be 5 and over to board the boat. Due to the type of boat we operate (RHIB) we are unable to allow service animals on board.

50 minutes includes travel by boat time as well

If you find yourself on Big Island, do not miss the opportunity to take a night swim with the manta rays. AMAZING! They swim right up to you. No other feeling like it. And the best tour group is of course My Kona adventures. You do everything through emails quick and super easy. The staff was awesome and Nick even offered to take my niece cliff jumping the next morning. Everyone was friendly and chatty while we waited. Told us where to swim and snorkel the rest of the trip. All around one of the best experience of our lives.

I purchased via Groupon a couple nights before going and was luckily able to book it for the only day we could make it! I must admit I didn’t read the fine print when purchasing via Groupon and didn’t realize only certain time slots were applicable. When I called, I spoke to a lovely lady who was super helpful every step of the way! Without her help we wouldn’t have been able to experience this adventure.. due to my short notice planning : / Wear your swimsuit, and bring some water shoes and they will provide a shortsuit and snorkel set. It was such an incredible experience! The boat ride is quick and and the snorkeling requires little to no physical exertion. You’re able to just hold and float while the mantas swim on by! We were lucky and we were able to see 5-6 different mantas and you could feel the plankton on your face/skin. If you have a GoPro bring it! I would highly recommend. Everyone was so nice and our belongings were safe when left with the crew members on shore. The only thing I would suggest is being able to hose/ shower off once you get back to shore. I would do it again in a heart beat!

One of our favorite experiences in Hawaii!! Truly a once in a lifetime experience!!! The manta rays are massive and they swimming right under you! The guides did everything to make us feel completely comfortable!!
