Had a half day share charter on the Camelot. Deckhand was very helpful and the captain was beautiful as well as helpful. Unfortunately no hits to fish. I know the fishing was great and the catch was a little short. Maybe next tume.

Was supposed to be a shared Turner but nobody else showed up, my luck! Captain Andy and the can Tommy immediately had six rods in the water as we're leaving the harbor. Spotted a floating rope and for the first half hour every time we passed it we caught a fish. caught four Mahi-mahi and 3 yellowfin tuna. The Egg Harbor sport fisherman was an excellent condition and the crew of they had their s*** TOGETHER. All the hardware was in great Shape in the fishing tackle setup was top notch. I would not hesitate to go with them again.

Aloha, Thank you for your review. Sounds like you had a lucky day straight across the board! You should of went to Vegas once you got back to the harbor! =) We can only hope the rest of your stay on the Big Island was just as lucky and successful. If you ever venture back come try your luck and fish with us again. Once again thank you for your review and we hope you had safe travels home. Mahalo, Bite Me Sportfishing Charter Team.

We booked the shared charter fishing, only three of us on beautiful morning. Our boat had to have engine work, so we left nearly an hour late, but only was given a half hour to make up for it. Not a bite, we went back and forth over the same small bit of ocean for nearly 4 hours, and the crew (Andy and Tim?) really didn't seem to give two cents about our experience. When asked about if they had ever been out this long without a bite, they stated they had gone 28 days without a bite, and we were the 29th day. I don't understand why they didn't change course and find better fishing grounds... When we booked the trip, we asked about catch and release, and were assured that was the Hawaiian way, but the crew informed us that they kept all the fish, and sold it for personal gain, as they didn't earn a penny from taking us out...(sounded fishy) and that they may or may not give us a "piece" of our catch depending on the fish. Once the lines were dropped, that was it, just trolling in circles for 4 hours in the same small section of the sea.... Don't waste your money on the bite me fishing charter....do a snorkle or something else.
