It was an expensive boat ride. We went out and watched the captain and his assistant catch mackerel for about a half an hour which were supposed to be what we would fish with. Then they rigged up 5 poles and trolled around for 3 and 1/2 hours with no success. They didn't even use the mackerel that they wasted our time catching. We never got to hold a fishing pole except for the demonstration at the first. They should have let us catch the mackerel or given us more time on the boat. For me and my kids it was a complete flop.

Captain Chad, and Captain Sandy, an absolutely amazing father and son duo, extremely knowledgeable with over 30 years of fishing and boating experience. These guys were by far the best crew I have ever been out fishing with. I have been deep sea fishing off both coasts of the mainland multiple times, none of those experiences even came close in comparison to this outing. I STRONGLY recommend you take a trip out on the bite me 1! Mahalo nui loa fellas

Went out for the half-day charter in Bite Me 3 with six customers. All you do is sit there while the mate sends out the lines and wait (after the crew spends the first hour fishing for bait fish). You are assigned a number and if a fish bites and it is your turn you get to reel it in. So on a perfect day you would catch six fish. But the mate said ā€œif we get one bite a day, thatā€™s a good day.ā€ So you will most likely be paying $130 to sit there and do nothing. I went ā€œfishingā€ but didn't touch a reel. Total waste.
