What To Expect
1
Kualoa Ranch
Make your own way to the scenic northern coast of Oahu to arrive at Kualoa Ranch. Your tour starts with a short ride across Moli’i Fishpond, an ancient Hawaiian pond in use more than 800 years ago to supply local villages with fish. As you glide across the 125-acre (50-hectare) fishpond, learn about traditional aquaculture practices in Hawaii.
2
Kane'ohe Bay
On the other side of the fishpond, arrive at Secret Island where your spacious catamaran awaits to take you on your 30-45 minute ocean cruise. The remains of the prehistoric Ko’olau volcano formed Kaneohe Bay, the Ko’olau mountains and Mokoli’i Island. The eye-catching scenery has served as the backdrop for Hollywood films including Pirates of the Caribbean 4, Pearl Harbor and 50 First Dates.
3
Mokoli’i Island
Set out on the turquoise waters of Kaneohe Bay, soaking in incredible views of Mokoli’i Island as you cruise. Pass Hokule'a Beach, a stunning white-sand paradise that is also home to the first modern replica of an ancient Hawaiian sailing boat. Admire the striking sight of the Ko’olau Mountains rising up in jagged green peaks behind the shimmering bay.
4
Kualoa Regional Park
While the fresh ocean breeze keeps you cool, hear lively historical narration and get great photo ops during your scenic cruise. You can enjoy a fantastic perspective on north Oahu’s coastline from the large viewing deck of your catamaran. You are returned to your starting point after the ocean cruise to conclude your tour.

Since when does a 90 Minute catamaran tour mean 40 minutes? I signed up for the 1245 ocean catamaran tour. We booked a 10:00 bus from Honolulu and arrived at 11:30. The bus to the beach was supposed to leave at 12:45- he was late and didn’t show up til 1:05. The boat ride was 40 minutes. Start to finish. So relish the twenty minutes at sea because you will be turning around just as soon as the photo op is finished. Someone was shocked when we turned back and said to the captain that it was advertised as an hour and a half tour. He replied that the time included the bus ride! Really- in that case you might as well advertise it as a six hour boat trip because we got back to Waikiki at four pm. Furthermore for something that has been around as long as the ranch one would find better signage for pick up and drop off. Going back to Honolulu everyone was waiting at the drop off for buses then we were told you you to go up to near the picnic tables to let them know- 25 people ran back so they wouldn’t miss the bus. The tour itself was nice but I really can’t believe I spent all that money for a 40 minute ride. I’ve taken 2 hour boat tours from start to finish in Miami and Santa Cruz and that was worth the price. When I travel I actually want to experience something not just take a photo and leave. Wasn’t happy with this experience at all and really was a low point of the trip. I would like to thank the management of the ranch though for including the links to the different sites for my comments.

We did the boat ride and the movie tour. This place really understands the importance of word of mouth reviews and thus place customer service in high regards. I used the go Oahu card at peak season and had trepidation that I’d receive second tier service. Definitely not the case. These guys were awesome. Had trouble getting out to the ranch in time to make the boat ride so we called them while heading there. They said to make it out anyways and they will get us on the next ride. We ended up making the time we booked...but I still appreciated the willingness to be accommodating. As for the boat ride, it was a a lot of fun for my kids 10 and 8. Great photo opportunities. Guide was really enthusiastic. All in all the boat ride was about 40 mins. The whole experience takes 75 mins. They bus u to a boat that goes across the fish pond to the sercret beach then you walk 2 mins to get to the catermaran. I think it was a perfect length with kids.

Tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable! However, expected to get a little closer to China Man's Hat.
