What To Expect
1
Kualoa Ranch
Make your own way to the scenic northern coast of Oahu to arrive at Kualoa Ranch. Your tour starts with a short ride across Moli’i Fishpond, an ancient Hawaiian pond in use more than 800 years ago to supply local villages with fish. As you glide across the 125-acre (50-hectare) fishpond, learn about traditional aquaculture practices in Hawaii.
2
Kane'ohe Bay
On the other side of the fishpond, arrive at Secret Island where your spacious catamaran awaits to take you on your 30-45 minute ocean cruise. The remains of the prehistoric Ko’olau volcano formed Kaneohe Bay, the Ko’olau mountains and Mokoli’i Island. The eye-catching scenery has served as the backdrop for Hollywood films including Pirates of the Caribbean 4, Pearl Harbor and 50 First Dates.
3
Mokoli’i Island
Set out on the turquoise waters of Kaneohe Bay, soaking in incredible views of Mokoli’i Island as you cruise. Pass Hokule'a Beach, a stunning white-sand paradise that is also home to the first modern replica of an ancient Hawaiian sailing boat. Admire the striking sight of the Ko’olau Mountains rising up in jagged green peaks behind the shimmering bay.
4
Kualoa Regional Park
While the fresh ocean breeze keeps you cool, hear lively historical narration and get great photo ops during your scenic cruise. You can enjoy a fantastic perspective on north Oahu’s coastline from the large viewing deck of your catamaran. You are returned to your starting point after the ocean cruise to conclude your tour.

I contacted the ranch asking how long we would spend on the catamaran on the bay. Was told 5 minutes for bus, 2 minutes across the pond and rest on the catamaran. 15 minutes before departure, we were called to board a bus. Group pic before boarding. 5 minute bus ride on highway to ancient pond location and passed by mango trees and veggie plots you'll see on food tour. 18 minutes on the pond getting a tour of how it was built, what fish was found in the pond, and what was filmed there. Launch point started where Lost was filmed and we boarded a smaller catamaran. Once we docked, half the ppl were told to go directly to the bay and go on the bigger catamaran. 30 minutes spent on Secret Beach. I did not bring any swimwear and only splashed in the water, sat on hammocks and waiting for the catamaran to come back. 25 minutes in total on catamaran on the bay. Went to coral reef area and saw 4 turtles and got a little closer to Molokii Island (Chinaman's Hat). I was expecting more time on the bay as what I was told via email didn't match the experience. If you want max time out on the water take another tour company -- 25 minutes felt very short. But if you want a little taste of a bunch of things on Kualua Ranch then this is great. Hubby and kids (3&9 yrs old) had an awesome time -- I did not tell them what to expect. Also tour guides and catamaran captain were very personable.

We loved this boat ride. We saw sea turtles and mana rays. The weather was lovely and views spectacular. Our only complaint was the ride was cut short. We were told it would be an hour but the bus driver was late and the tour before us seemed behind so our tour was cut short to get back on schedule. Otherwise we loved it.

The rain didn’t prevent this from being a very enjoyable adventure. We really enjoyed the ride. Our guide, whose name I have forgotten was a sweetheart. She told us numerous tidbits of info about movies here. Highly recommend it.
