Great outing! Husband, kids and I went out for kayaking and had a terrific time. Doug is a knowledgable and friendly Laguna native and gave us an interesting and beautiful tour from the ocean. We saw sea lions, birds, and kelp, and got lots of info on the beaches and history that we paddled past. Highly recommend and would definitely do it again. A+!

Fun! My daughter and I had a great time! Professional and experienced guides. Don't forget your sunscreen! (And Dramamine if you tend to get motion sickness!) Plan time to find parking as there isn't much right near the beach.

Was a bit concerned with it being choppy but went for it- Fun time! We lucked out and had a guide in each kayak with us, since we were beginners that worked out perfect but not everyone gets that luxury (probably would have cancelled if we had to go in on our own). We got pretty wet since it was choppy but that made it even more exciting. Don't bring anything with you except your keys (no remotes) phones should be in a waterproof case. No one tipped over but its always possible. You go out through the surf, rocks a good distance away. Went with my son (14) he got a little sea sick on the way back but said he's do it again. (my opinion: I would reconsider with small kids). Didn't see any wildlife but can't expect that. Overall good time!

Thanks for the very thorough review. It was certainly an exciting paddle tour, however, the ocean was definitely in rare form. Most days are calm and safe for all ages (even kids). The beauty of ocean kayaking is that every day is different and wildlife is unpredictable.
