What To Expect

Lahaina

Your journey begins at the Ku’ia Estates Chocolate Factory in Lahaina, the largest chocolate factory in the state of Hawaii. Our tour guide then drives you to our private cacao estate, nestled in the foothills of the West Maui mountains. Featuring over 20 acres of cacao trees, our professional and friendly tour guides lead you from “farm to the bar.” This interactive and educational tour introduces you to our cacao trees, the hands-on fruit harvesting techniques, and finishes with an exclusive 9-piece tasting of our award-winning chocolate. Check-in is 15 minutes prior to your tour start time.

Best chocolate I've tasted in decades - and I have lived near Lindt/Sprungli in Switzerland, Hershey's in Pennsylvania, Atellier Ortega in Jackson Hole, and Ghiradelli in San Francisco! Very informative, each detail well conceived, and a wonderful "feel good experience" due to the owners and employees' beautiful execution of bringing agriculture back to Maui while creating jobs + beauty + community service. We will be bringing all our friends here and taking back lovely chocolate gifts to folks at home!

Excellent Chocolate tour with John! Loved walking through the Maui cacao farm and learning the process from bean to cacao. Favorite part was of course tasting the local chocolates and tropical infused flavors. The tree top tasting deck was awesome! Delicious Maui made chocolates! Thank you!

Our guide was relaxed and quite knowledgeable about the cacao farm as well as Hawaiian history. My teen kids and I enjoyed ourselves.
