Great trip, very interesting and awesome scenery! Would highly recommend! Beautiful sunny day made it even better! My husband and I did Route 66 with some friends, and wanted to do this cruise at the same time!

The boat ride was pleasant and it's nice to be able to go below deck if the sun becomes too hot up on the top. Views were still nice from the lower level. The commentary seemed like it was recorded, not a tour guide, and we joked that it felt like they were trying to advertise all of the monuments we went past in a kind of fake way. I did learn a few things from the commentary but it was not as educational or enjoyable as the docents who give tours from the Chicago Architecture Center. It was easy to bring a toddler on the boat trip with us. Strollers have a spot to be left on shore on the pier. However, if your toddler becomes impatient with sitting on an adult's lap, it's not a good place for a little guy to run around or try to climb.
